In her artist statement, art prodigy explains her White Room, a mental state of being where she is feeling focused:
“My White Room is an imaginary place I find myself when I am truly at my most creative…I believe that it is from my White Room that I speak to the world, and to my future.”
More than 60 of Autumn’s artworks will be on display during the exhibition, “Her White Room: The Art of Autumn de Forest.” Admission to the center is free and open to the public.
This is Autumn’s first-ever exhibition in Tennessee. To celebrate, she is holding art classes for local students on August 4 and 5, 2017.
The 15-year-old prodigy first began painting at the age of 5. Since then, she has sold several million dollars in artwork, has been honored at the Vatican, and received an audience with Pope Francis where she presented him with her artwork.
Autumn is a well-respected artist with Park West Gallery who travels the globe to present her work. Known for her huge heart and zeal for philanthropic efforts, Autumn works closely with the Park West Foundation to further their efforts. As a member of the national Turnaround Arts program, Autumn provides much-needed materials to local schools and art classes throughout North America donated by the Foundation.
